Keeping your Google Business Profile accurate is one of the easiest ways to earn trust from customers and rank better in local search. The Olly Olly app makes updates simple and safe.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Open GBP Guardian
From the menu, tap or click on “GBP Guardian.”
- If you only have one profile connected, you’ll go straight to your dashboard.
- If you have multiple profiles, you’ll see a list of them; just tap or click on the one you want to edit.
Step 2: Edit Your Business Details
From your dashboard, scroll to the “Business Details” section.
You can update things like:
- Business name
- Address
- Phone number
- Website
- Description
- Hours
- Service areas
Simply select the field you’d like to change, make your edits and hit save.
What Happens Next
Once you submit an update, we’ll send it to Google for review. Here’s what to expect:
- It may take up to 48 hours for changes to go live on your public profile.
- While you’re waiting, you’ll see a “Pending” message in the app showing your updated info.
- If Google approves the change, the “Pending” message will disappear.
- If Google rejects the change, we’ll roll back to your previous info and let you know.
Protecting Your Profile
To keep your GBP safe from flags or suspensions, we only send one update to your Name, Address, or Phone Number every 48 hours.
If you make multiple edits in a row, we’ll automatically throttle the updates and send them one at a time, so your listing stays verified and visible in search.
Pro tip: Always double-check your edits for accuracy before saving. The fewer changes you need to make, the faster everything updates.
