How to Move Your GoDaddy Domain to Olly Olly’s GoDaddy Account

Recently signed up for Olly Olly’s SEO services? Great choice! We can’t wait to help you improve your online visibility, generate more leads and ultimately get more business! But to get started, you’ll first need to move your GoDaddy domain to our GoDaddy account. Unsure where to start? Don’t worry. Just follow the steps below.

What Is a GoDaddy Account Change?

An account change is when you are moving a domain from one GoDaddy account to another. If your domain is currently in a GoDaddy account and you’d like to move it to Olly Olly’s GoDaddy account, you’re in the right place.

But before we tell you all there is to know about performing an account change, let’s start with the basics.

What Is a Domain?

A domain is nothing more than your website’s address on the Internet, like “yourbusiness.com” It’s what people type into their browsers to access your website.

Moving your GoDaddy domain to Olly Olly’s GoDaddy account reduces your stress level by taking a few things off your plate. We:

How to Request an Account Change from Another Marketing Agency or Third Party

If your domain is currently managed by someone else, you’ll need them to process the account change.

Here’s a simple template you can use to request this transfer:

Hello,

This is [Your name] with [Your Business Name].

At this time, I would like for my domain, [Your domain], to be transferred over to a new account.

Please send my domain to the following GoDaddy account:

GoDaddy Acct Email: domains@ollyolly.com

GoDaddy Customer #: 60914551

Thank you.

How to Perform the Account Change Yourself

If you have access to your GoDaddy account, sometimes it’s just easier to take care of the account change on your own. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Sign in to your GoDaddy account
  1. Go to godaddy.com
  2. In the top right corner, click “Login” and enter your username and password.
    1. Tip: If you don’t know your username, find a recent email from GoDaddy and your customer number will be in the top right corner of the email.
Step 2: Access your domains
  1. On the left-hand side, select “Portfolio“.
  2. Using the checkbox, select your domain.
Step 3: Initiate the account change
  1. From the action menu at the bottom of the screen, select “Transfer to account”.
  2. If you don’t see this option, select the “More” menu and scroll down.
Step 4: Enter the new account details
  1. Enter the new account holder’s email address: domains@ollyolly.com.
  2. Enter the GoDaddy Customer #: 60914551. (optional)
  3. Enter the email address once more for confirmation.
Step 5: Confirm the transfer
  1. Verify the details and confirm the transfer.
  2. Notify us as soon as you have initiated the transfer so we can accept it within 48 hours.
